Spirit Dancer Dennis Rogers

 Dennis Rogers, a member of the Navajo Nation of AZ will return as a featured performer for Chief Wenonga Days. He will be setting up a 16' Lodge (Tipi) for event goers to go inside and feel the presence of the past American Culture.  Mr. Rogers, a middle & High School teacher from Kansas, will be available for Close-up questions and answer session. At 12:15 he will be performing a Traditional Music, Songs & Dances in front of his Lodge in front of the Community Center.

 Native American flute songs, hand drum songs and dances are sure to educate as he explains the significance of each dance. "These dances originated in the days of Chief Wenonga and his Warriors." Mr. Rogers graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University. He's is well traveled and had toured Internationally. He will also be performing the Popular Hoop-Dance and the friendship dance which is an audience participation dance. "I encourage everyone to come out and visit me at my Lodge and join me as we share a meaningful time together."
